Marc Galli, né Bartholomew, has been appointed Technical Director at WMPG, continuing a legacy of technical leadership at the station that dates back to figures such as Phil Hersey in the late 1990s.

A highly respected audio engineer and producer in Maine’s music and arts community, Marc is the co-founder of Acadia Recording Company in Bayside, which he launched with his wife, Gina. Through this work, he has helped shape the sound of countless regional artists and projects.

Marc’s extensive experience includes live sound and engineering roles at prominent Portland venues, including Space Gallery, The Skinny, Geno’s, and The State Theatre. His work across these spaces has made him a familiar and trusted presence in Maine’s independent music scene.

In addition to his live and studio work, Marc served as director of The Acadia Sessions on Maine Public, a series dedicated to showcasing local musicians through high-quality audio and video production. The program further established his reputation for combining technical expertise with a deep commitment to artist development.

As Technical Director at WMPG, Marc brings a wealth of hands-on knowledge in broadcast engineering, production, and facility management. His appointment signals a continued investment in the station’s technical excellence and its role as a platform for community voices and music.
