This past Friday, there was a panel discussion on Education & Equity, moderated by Lisa Savage and featuring: John Hinck – District 2 Candidate Victoria Pelletier – District 2 Candidate Travis Curran – At Large Candidate Roberto Rodriquez – At Large Candidate Thanks to Portland Media Center who produced this event WMPG was able to broadcast it. This week we had musicians, singers and drummers from West Guinea, Rwanda and Burundi in our studio to talk about their event – Tales of Bells & Drums is an event organized by Ikirenga Cy’intore and in collaboration with Batimbo United and New Moon Ensemble.  Stories of their lives are told through dancing and drumming. We were treated to song and dance and WMPG Radio are excited to be supporting this event in September. Saturday Sept 4, 2021 5.30 – 7.30pm at Merrill Auditorium….
