WMPG Record Sale! We need your Vinyl LPs, CDs, old turntables, amps and speakers!

Are you tired of moving those old vinyl LPs and CDs around the house? WMPG can help. Tidy up your house and help WMPG at the same time. We are seeking donations for our 24th Annual WMPG Record Sale. The sale happens on Saturday November 2nd from 10am-3pm at the USM Portland Sullivan Gym.  To donate LPs, CDs, turntables, amplifiers or speakers  call (207) 780-4424 or e-mail stationmanager@wmpg.org to make arrangements. Hip Hop Marathon 9pm-1am Wed Oct 2nd

Wednesday Oct 2 9pm-1am is all Hip Hop Music. A fun celebration to mark the 40th anniversary of the hit smash song “Rapper’s Delight.” WMPG’s own Hip Hop DJs will spin music beginning in the 1990s and going through the decades up through today’s hits. You’ll hear from Low Down Dirty Shane, SOFresh, Young Dirigo, Crazy Phraze, and DJ Jam.

WMPG's Kate Manahan wins Maine Association of Broadcasting 2019 Award!

Kate Manahan, host of WMPG’s New Mainers Speak won second place in the Public Affairs category at the 2019 Maine Association of Broadcasters awards ceremony which took place in Augusta. This is a statewide event with all the television and radio stations submitting their best work. WMPG is proud that Kate’s show was honored. New Mainers Speak highlights individuals from around the world. Kate interviews them about their personal experiences in their home countries, as well as here in Maine. Click here to listen to a special 30 minute sampler highlighting three segments from shows over the past year. This recording was submitted to the Maine Association of Broadcasters and won 2nd place in the Public Affairs category on Saturday, Sept 14, 2019.
