Brian is a drummer/percussionist known for his musical explorations of space and time. He grew up on an indian ashram, and has performed in caves, forests, and adjacent glacial ice fields as well as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. And his partner, saxophonist Jane Ira Bloom, who after pushing NASA to take jazz into space, actually had an asteroid named after her. When they play together, it is in the stars. They have a brand new album called Once Like A Spark that is going to be officially released on Friday the 21st of November.
