Description
The Harp & Bard Irish Radio Program is Maine’s longest running Irish Radio Program that began with it’s original host Paul O’Neill until his retirement from WMPG. Jim Ward was Paul’s choice to carry on the legacy of the show into the future!
Jim is 1st generation Irish-American with his parents hailing from Ireland (Co. Roscommon, Co. Cork, and Co. Kerry) and a family rich in traditional Irish music!
Jim features the music of Ireland from Folk to Traditional to the Irish Showband Era to the music of today including the resurrection of the Irish-Country music scene that is currently taking Ireland by storm!
The show features artists born in Ireland and those of Irish descent and from all genres of music!
Some of the artists you may hear on the show are: Daniel O’Donnell, Nathan Carter, The Wolfe Tones, Christy Moore, The Saw Doctors, Paul Brady, Ireland May, The Boomtown Rats, Aslan, U2, The Chieftains, Donal Lunny, Mundy, and many more!!!
