Description

I’m suspicious of taste developed by an algorithm. I love the risk involved in buying records I’ve never heard. My godparents; the music emanating from behind my older brother’s door; my cousin introducing me to punk; my good college friends expanding my horizons; my brother-in-law introducing me to Robert Christgau; reading books and magazines; and listening to WMTD, the station of Mount St. Mary’s, and WHFS, the legendary progressive radio out of Annapolis are what shaped my musical taste. The Summer Session is designed to introduce you to the new, to refamiliarize you to the old, and to recontextualize all sorts of sensational sounds. Most of all, I hope you’re entertained.
