Summer in Maine is short but oh-so-sweet, and WMPG is soaking up every note of it. That’s why we’ve been taking Local Motives outside for another Live from the Drive session—our live music series that brings the show to the sunshine (or starlight) right here in the WMPG driveway.
This Wednesday, August 12, we’re thrilled to welcome Xander Nelson—Portland’s own high-energy rocker with a knack for crafting bold, catchy hooks. You’ve heard him tearing it up on stage and on the air, but now you can catch him in a more intimate, open-air setting that’s perfect for these warm summer evenings.
Bring a lawn chair, your dancing shoes, or just your ears – we’ll bring the tunes. We’ll also be broadcasting the whole set live on WMPG 90.9 FM and streaming at wmpg.org, so even if you can’t make it to the driveway, you won’t miss a beat.
