On April 1, WMPG’s local music show Local Motives takes over the Portland Media Center for a high-energy, one-night-only celebration: Fool’s Last Beg – the grand finale of Begathon.

Amongst the spectacle is Shaxx in the Glass. DJ Shaxx will be spinning live from the PMC street-facing window, transforming Congress Street into a potential dance floor. Hear his famous Karaoke weather report. Inside the studio, Local Motives, our live music show will be live broadcast hosting a live set from Crazy Deja Vu, bringing their signature freak out grooves to the airwaves and the crowd.
It’s April Fool’s Day, so come dressed for the occasion: wear your wildest “Freak Out” costume or bring a mask and join the revelry. Expect music, movement, and a joyful dose of community-powered radio spirit.
Fool’s Last Beg marks the final push of WMPG’s Begathon fundraiser. After a week of listener-powered energy, this is the last chance to show up, dance it out, and support the station that keeps Portland’s airwaves vibrant and fiercely local.
