March is Women’s History Month, a time to recognize the creativity, leadership, and resilience of women who have shaped our communities, our culture, and the stories we tell. At WMPG, women have always been central to the station’s voice – on the management team, advisory board, on the air, behind the scenes, and throughout the community we serve.
From volunteer DJs spinning music that might not be heard anywhere else, to hosts leading thoughtful conversations about local issues and students helping behind the scenes, women help shape the sound and spirit of WMPG every day.
Here in Maine, we’re also fortunate to be surrounded by an incredible community of women musicians, artists, organizers, and leaders. 
Local performers bring original music and creative energy to our airwaves, while community leaders join us to talk about the work they’re doing to make Maine stronger, more connected, and more compassionate.
