Celebrating Women’s History Month at WMPG

This image features a close-up of WMPG DJ Rosita looking off into the distance.March is Women’s History Month, a time to recognize the creativity, leadership, and resilience of women who have shaped our communities, our culture, and the stories we tell. At WMPG, women have always been central to the station’s voice – on the management team, advisory board, on the air, behind the scenes, and throughout the community we serve.

Here in Maine, we’re also fortunate to be surrounded by an incredible community of women musicians, artists, organizers, and leaders. Local performers bring original music and creative energy to our airwaves, while community leaders join us to talk about the work they’re doing to make Maine stronger, more connected, and more compassionate.

WMPG is proud to help amplify those voices.

Throughout March, we celebrate the women who help keep WMPG vibrant and growing, and the many women across Maine whose creativity, leadership, and courage continue to inspire us every day.  Tune in to hear our DJ’s and hosts celebrate this Womens History Month.
