CORBIN
CORBIN is one of Maine's few female DJ's who can bring an out of the box perspective to electronic music, power to a dance floor, and mean it. She began as a late bloomer in the electronic scene, totally missing the 90's but found her passion in Drum & Bass through friends and by going to local shows in college. Since she was a persistent musician from an early age; she knew she could mix and soon acquired her own set of turntables a few records and began her journey into the down and dirty basslines of Drum 'n Bass. She has experience in radio broadcast engineering (thanks to WMPG), hosting, and live mixing, and has won the honor of "Best Drum & Bass/Breakbeat DJ from We Push Buttons in both 2008 and 2009. CORBIN started the successful Portland DnB night 180BPM in February 2008, and has teamed up with Stryknyne to bring out of state DJ's, fresh beats and new faces into the DnB scene where together they work towards big and bassy things.
