WMPG has begun its first major coordinated local news project with the 2006 election. We featured voices of candidates, voices of voters, locally produced reports on issues, and live debates and/or forums. Our coverage was wide-ranging, but focus on subject of interest to voters in greater Portland. We were excited to be collaborating with various other entities in our coverage, including The Bollard, The Muskie School, and faculty and students from USM's department of Political Science, among others.
